Whenever I am in Norfolk VA to visit my daughter, Kate, we make it a point to have a movie and a meal at the fabulous COMMODORE THEATER in nearby Portsmouth VA. Owner Fred Schoenfeld is always most gracious whenever we visit. And tonight I was fortunate to make the acquaintance of KEN JOHNSON who also lends his time and talents to promote the Commodore.
For those of you who are not familiar with this iconic, John Zinc designed Art Deco beauty, it has survived wonderfully as a Dinner & Movie establishment. The food is first rate, the sound system (designed in conjunction with George Lucas’ THX Group) is amazing and the hospitality is unmatched.
